Arsenal to sue French TV station over match-fixing allegations
The Gunners went 4-0 up at St James’ Park but only managed a draw after a remarkable second-half come back from the Magpies. France 2 later reported that the Premier League clash was being looked at by Interpol over allegations of ‘strange movements of money.’
However, Interpol have been quick to deny the broadcaster’s claims – insisting there was no such investigation.
The north London club will now seek advice over the allegations with a view to starting legal proceedings against the channel.
