Last week we broke the news that Carlos Tevez was organising Man City’s Christmas bash, a party inspired by the Queen musical We Will Rock You. However, the Argentinian captain was nowhere to be seen as the City stars stepped out in Hale last night following their 1-0 win over Bolton at Eastlands.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the City stars enjoyed a meal at Piccolino’s restaurant before moving on to Suburbia nightclub. Following the scrap between Mario Balotelli and Jermome Boateng during training on Friday, Mancini, who did not attend, will be pleased to discover his team did not argue over the bill.

Luigi Lanzotti, 46, manager at Piccolino’s, said: “It was a brilliant night, with a brilliant atmosphere… They all had Italian food, sharing garlic bread and squid for starters and pasta and salad for main course, very healthy… They had a selection of wines with the meal. They were all dressed up but it was nothing extravagant… The bill was normal for a party of this size. They were very well behaved, it was a busy night and there were a lot of paparazzi outside… But it was just a nice meal and a nice night.”
