Liverpool in bizarre link with £20m former Celtic star

According to rumours in the press tonight, Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish is interested in making a massive £20m bid for Spartak Moscow winger Aiden McGeady.

McGeady left Celtic in 2010 – a club that Dalglish also started his career with – and moved to Russia in a £9.5m move. While Juventus have also been linked with the midfielder’s services, Liverpool are reportedly preparing a large bid to solve their wide problems.

Liverpool boss Dalglish has recognised that £35m striker Andy Carroll will need service next season and a top class winger is a priority.

Despite relative success in Eastern Europe, McGeady would surely welcome a move to the Premier League.
