Liverpool sign French midfielder on four-year deal

It has been revealed that Liverpool have signed Rennes midfielder Sylvain Marveaux on a four-year contract.

Although a potential switch was reportedly agreed in March, French newspaper L’Sport claim that the contract is now all but signed.

The winger has played just 10 league games this season due to a persistent groin injury, but his potential has earned him a move to Merseyside and he will link up with his new team-mates at the start of next term.

I hope Marveaux can stay off treatment table and establish himself on the side. We have had many free agent players sign and end up on the bench due to injury and take space and salary for nothing. I still hope Dalglish can bring in quality winger like Ashley Cole to feed in crosses for Carroll.
