Arsene Wenger has reportedly turned down an approach from Italian club Lazio to take Danish striker Nicklas Bendtner on loan for the rest of the season.
Bendtner currently sits behind Marouane Chamakh and Robin Van Persie in the pecking order at Arsenal and voiced his frustration’s two weeks ago, saying “If the situation doesn’t change – if I keep sitting on the bench at Arsenal I must leave. It’s as simple as that.”
The striker has only started two games this season but Gunner’s boss has reportedly made it clear that he doesn’t wish to sell anybody in his current senior squad.
