Arsenal midfielder claims he didn’t reject Liverpool move

Arsenal midfielder Yossi Benayoun has claimed that he didn’t reject Liverpool in favour of moving to the Emirates.

Benayoun has moved to Arsenal from Chelsea on a season-long loan and was quoted as saying it was an “easy” decision for him to turn down Liverpool for the Gunners.

However, Benayoun tweeted: “I think my english was very clear at the interview I made after the CL game..I said I had few offers and I choose arsenal.

“I didnt say I snubbed liverpool or any other club..not fair to no one.”

Benayoun made his first start for Arsenal in the 1-1 Champions League draw with Borussia Dortmund earlier this week.

Good luck Yossi, as a Liverpool fan it was always great having you in the side and it would have been great to have you back. You needn’t worry about the gutter press trying to make up stories, your a class act and your response to the story shows your one of the few footballers who has his finger on the pulse.
