Opinion writers
Clean Sheets is looking to fill vacancies for writers that like to create debate amongst fellow supporters with opinion pieces. There is pretty much a free roam to what you can write about as an opinion piece, so long as it’s interesting and will look to provoke some sort of response from football fans.
Commenting on current topics is always good but feel free to write about the game more generally if you wish (Players who dive should be sent off, Goaline technology isn’t needed etc.).
Here is an example of a good opinion piece;

Smash & Trash writers
Smash & Trash is Clean Sheets’ very own after-match reaction piece. Putting our unique slant on proceedings of a recent game, the write-up will include the “smash of the game” (i.e. someone who made a significant impact) and the “trash of the game” (i.e. who flopped!). Feel free to add on further categories to the post that pinpoint certain elements of the match. For example, “chant of the match”, “save of the match” and “play of the match”.

Who are ya? writers
Who are ya? is a feature on Clean Sheets that identifies players that the everyday supporter may not have heard of or a player British football fans are unlikely to have seen play before.
The idea behind Who are ya? is to give them supporters a taste of what they can expect from an unknown quantity – what are their strengths/weaknesses? Career highlights etc.
Writing pieces on players that have been linked to Premier League clubs are always generally popular and go down well.
For instance, Romelu Lukaku – http://www.cleansheetsallround.co.uk/2011/01/who-are-ya-romelu-lukaku-chelsea-liverpool-and-spurs-target
BIG Debate writers
BIG Debates are written purely to spark a response from our readers. We want our community to be directly involved with these and for the subject discussed to be of a topical relevance. Pieces don’t have to be particularly long, just enough to weigh up two sides of an argument and then throw out a question, to which you want people to answer.
Feel like you can write one or more of these type of stories? Get in touch with us and inform us on which features you would like to write – also detailing how often you can write.

We look foward to hearing from you!
