Matthew Wood – Founder and Editor

Matthew founded CSAR in 2010 with fellow university graduate Robert Morris. With a degree in Journalism and Sports Development, Matthew has built an impressive portfolio of writing experiences including time with the Press Association, Digital Spy, Bwin betting, Well Red Magazine and MATCH! Magazine. He supports Liverpool but admits to having a soft spot for Barcelona (who doesn’t?!).

Robert Morris – Founder

Robert has a degree in Television Production and Media Studies and was the brains behind the concept of CSAR, building the foundations for site’s upward rise. Rob supports Arsenal and has built up wealth of knowledge from working in the media, gaining experience with The Times, Four Four Two and the BBC.

Barrie – Editor

Barrie first started writing for us in 2013 and commenced his new role as Editor in February 2014.  He has met famous footballing faces from Dietmar Hamann to Viv Anderson.  The most passionate football fan and writer we have collectively encountered in our lives, there is quite simply no one will a better knowledge of football that we’ve ever met.  If you find that person, please introduce them.

Lewis Dunwoody – Senior Contributor

Despite his age, 16-year-old Lewis has already shown a passion for sports journalism as well as an ability to write great content. He writes his own football blog and also contributes to This is Futbol and LiverpoolTransferSpeculations. Lewis is a Liverpool supporter and his favourite player is the Dutchman Dirk Kuyt.

Elliott Bretland – Senior Contributor

With a degree in Sports Journalism, 21-year-old Elliott has an impressive and extensive list of journalistic experiences under his belt. He has written for Liverpool FC’s official web site and spent time at Radio City and Granada Reports. Despite his affiliation with Liverpool, Elliott is a staunch Everton supporter and has been a season ticket holder at Goodison Park for over 10 years.

Alex Hams – Senior Contributor

Alex, 21, recently graduated with a degree in Sports Journalism from Southampton Solent University. He is the Editor of Formula1FanCast and has experience in writing for A Different League and Caught Offside. He supports Liverpool and names Steven Gerrard, Xabi Alonso, Andrea Pirlo and Francesco Totti amongst his favourite players.

Taylor Williams – Senior Contributor

Twenty-two-year-old Taylor has been educated in Journalism, Media Cultures and Sports Studies at the University of Hertfordshire. Taylor has written for respected sports web sites such as GiveMeFootball and FootballFanCast with articles published in the Wellingborough and Rushden Herald & Post. He is an Arsenal fan and lists his favourite moment as a Gooner when he attended the 2002 FA Cup Final which saw Arsene Wenger’s team run out 2-0 winners against Chelsea.

Aidan McCartney – Senior Contributor

Aidan is a 23-year-old History graduate and NCTJ trained journalist. He works for FootballFanCast as their League One and League Two Editor. He has previously had work featured in the Independent and in various other sports publications. An avid Scunthorpe United fan, he spends most weekends travelling back to watch the Iron play and his favourite memory is beating Millwall at Wembley in 2009.

Rohil Daya – Senior Contributor

Rohil, 19, is currently studying Mechanical Engineering but has a great passion for football writing. He has written for the popular Life’s a Pitch web site, Transfer News Central and his own personal blog. Rohil is a Manchester United supporter.
