Sochaux winger Ryad Boudebouz has claimed that Liverpool have been in contact with him over a potential summer transfer.

The 22-year-old provided six goals and six assists in the 2011/12 Ligue 1 season and says that his form has scouts from Liverpool tracking his progress.

It is also hinted by talkSPORT that Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez – and the next potential Liverpool manager – has taken a strong interest in Boudebouz.

Quoted by the talkSPORT, Boudebouz said: “Liverpool are a big club and there has been contact.

“I have to take my time, meet the president of Sochaux and talk things through.

“I still have a two-year contract but I want to leave.”

Boudebouz has played six times for the Algerian national side although he did play for France at youth team level.
