Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are on alert after Sochaux’s Marvin Martin admitted that he could leave France in the summer.

According to talkSPORT, both Arsenal and Tottenham would be interested in the attacking midfielder who has earned a spot in the French squad for the European Championships despite scoring just two goals in 40 games for Sochaux in 2011/12.

The 24-year-old has fuelled speculation that he could be on his way to north London by claiming that he is ready to depart Ligue 1 football.

“I’m ready to go play overseas, but I have not made a decision about my future,” he is quoted by talkSPORT.

“I know there has been contact but I’m 100 per cent focused on France and the Euros.

“I do not know if something can be done before the Euros. If not, we will wait and see how things develop.”

Martin’s France face England in their opening Euro 2012 fixture on June 11.
