PSG target shock swoop for Chelsea full-back
Paris Saint Germain are eyeing a move for England and Chelsea left-back , according to Mail Sport.
The Qatari-backed outfit, who are managed by former Blue boss Carlo Ancelotti, are aware that Cole is in the final year of his contract and are preparing to offer a lucrative three-year deal in order to lure him to France.
PSG have already signed Napoli star Ezequiel Lavezzi plus AC Milan superstars Thiago Silva and Zltan Ibrahimovic as they look to flex their muscles on both a domestic and continental front during the upcoming season.
Cole has made clear he doesn’t want to leave Chelsea but PSG hope to play on the past relationship between Cole and Ancelotti, complemented with a very attractive financial package.
However, the Stamford Bridge side will not let Cole go without a fight and maintain that they will open negotiations with the 31-year-old this month.
Cole joined Chelsea in 2006 when he crossed the Capital after beginning his career at rivals Arsenal and has since established himself as one of the best left-backs in the world.
