Tottenham Hotspur in bid for Modric replacement
The defensive midfielder has been constantly linked with a move to North London – either to Arsenal or Tottenham; however, it seems Spurs have taken the first steps, say the BBC.
Rennes claim Spurs have made a concrete offer of £12.7m with add ons but the French side what £15m and have replied to Spurs offer by requesting face-to-face talks.
M’Vila, who hopes to complete a move to England this week, is also a reported target of Zenit St Petersberg, Shakhtar Donetsk and another unnamed Premier League club- though it is believed that Arsenal are yet to register an interest. Reports in France state that other clubs in the running are Everton and Newcastle United.
The midfielder would prove to be a replacement for Luka Modric who completed his long anticipated switch to Real Madrid, earlier on Monday. The Croatian signed a five year deal with a fee believed to be in the region of £30m.
