Arsenal + Liverpool Target Hints He Wants Move Abroad

In-form Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette has admitted that he desires a move to either the Premier League or Spanish La Liga.
The 23-year old has been on fire in the French league this season, attracting interest from across Europe, including both Arsenal and Liverpool.
Alexandre Lacazette has scored 19 goals in 20 Ligue 1 games this season for Lyon – only Cristiano Ronaldo has more league goals in any of Europe’s top five leagues so far this season.
The French striker has been quoted by the Daily Star as saying:
“Between England and Spain, I don’t have a preference.”
He then went on to say he used to dream of playing for Barcelona:
“I dreamt about Barça when I was little, but once you grow up you know you cannot be on just one club.
“I will not be leaving for the sake of it, I have medium and long term aims, after that we will see what is best for me.”
Liverpool were linked with a move for the young striker back in the summer but Lyon owner Jean-Michel Aulas refused to sell him because he is part of the club’s long-term strategy:
“The club’s strategy has been to build an education centre that produces high quality players. We will give them the opportunity to have success at Lyon.
“We are in talks and I don’t know if he will prolong for two or three years. Whatever happens, he is not for sale.
“The difference between here and other clubs is that we set a strategy and we keep it for five years.”
It may take an offer the French side cannot afford to refuse to tempt them into accepting a bid for their prolific striker.
But if Lacazette keeps up with his hints that he wants a move away from Lyon, it could help force through a move to a bigger club around Europe. He couldn’t even rule out a move to rivals Paris Saint-Germain:
“PSG? We will see, it is hard the answer that now.
“To play with [Zlatan] Ibrahimović and Lucas [Moura], I cannot say that I cannot see myself in this attack but it would more likely be a departure abroad.
“Afterwards, you never know what might happen.”
Lyon are currently top of Ligue 1.
