Newcastle to receive 25% of Liverpool’s Carroll sell-on fee

Newcastle received a £30m lump sum payment from selling Andy Carroll to Liverpool in January, and now Mirror Football are claiming that the Toom Army will also gain a whopping 25 per cent of any transfer fee if Carroll is to move on.

Carroll, 22, is currently recovering from a thigh injury and could be set to make his debut against Manchester United at Anfield in the next few weeks.

The news is sure to put pressure on Newcastle owner Mike Ashley to spend some of the club’s income on new additions before the start of next season.
